Overdue Posts and Winner!

This is sooooo wayyyyy overdue! Sooooo much has been going on in my life! Today I finished a basket for Team Boucher that will be raffled off at Relay for Life this coming weekend in East Herkimer. I've been trying to load a picture of it but cannot find it on my laptop here from my phone. The battery died on my regular camera which is how I'm used to posting the pics from but boy am I challenged. lol

I had sent an e-mail out to customers on my mailing list in time for the weekend and said that I was giving away stamps by entering those who placed orders through my Website. Well, we have a winner!

JoAnne Stephens! When you get a chance, stop by or give me a call!

Rachael has finished another dance competition year. She did an awesome job along with everyone else from the dance studio. She danced in Albany, Niagara Falls and in Rochester since early spring. We've had sooooo much fun! In just a few short weeks, she will be starting up with her summer classes.

Have you had a chance to look at the retiring stamp set list or the accessory list? Are they on the list? You might want to check! Time is short and you just might miss out. Also, be sure to check out the Clearance Rack that is online through my Stampin' Up! website. It just takes a few short moments to register online if you haven't already done so in order to place an order.

No clubs will be held this month but will be taking place next month! Contact me with interest!
Happy Stampin'!

Roommate/Friend from Leadership 2010!

This is a creation done by Dacia Smith. I love this card. I think you'll agree?! Dacia has such great creativity in her. I found this on the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator site that we have now called, Stampin' Connection. It is soooo cool and user friendly. Just one of the MANY perks that comes from being a demonstrator. Beautiful card Dacia, just like you. :) Luv you!

Time for some new posts..

...don't ya think?! I know it has been some time. Time has gotten away from me yet again. I've been doing a lot of stamping and planning along with getting ready for more workshops, stamp camps AND a Regional event to take place at the OnCenter in Syracuse! I am so excited about this because my Stampin' UP! family is attending with me along with guests! I cannot wait to see the excitement on their faces because for some, this will be their first big Stampin' Up! event to attend.

You can certainly tell by both of these cards that I have new toys! I have new punches, a new die for my Big Shot AND new stamps!!! Have YOU checked out the Occasions mini and the Sale-a-bration mini? If not, what are you waiting for?! Don't miss the opportunity of benefiting from the extra deals that are going on ONLY until the end of March as a customer, as a hostess or as a DEMONSTRATOR!!!

If you have any questions on what you see, contact me! There's still time to book your Sale-a-bration workshop so you can benefit! There are still some good dates left!

Vintage Vogue...

I am sooo loving this new set! You can find it in the Occasions Mini catalog on page 26. I find that my style changes along with my color choices. Right now, I'm liking Mellow Moss again along with the plum colors. For me, that means vintage along with layers and adding sponged color and embellishments. What does it mean to you?

To make the lace that is seen at the top of this card, I took a one-inch wide piece of cardstock and used one of our edge punches. The border on this card was done using a punch you can get for FREE, yes FREE, from the Sale-a-bration mini when you spend just $50 in merchandise! You can actually choose anything from the Sale-a-bration mini catalog for every $50 in merchandise you spend. There is a whole lot to choose from! Okay, back to the lace. hehehe After you punch the entire border, run it through a crimper and then put a line of Sticky Strip adhesive on the back. From there, just apply the "lacy border" to your card and remember to place gathers. You will need to use longer pieces to accommodate those gathers. Take special care in placement because I had a tendency to place my lace going "uphill." lol On this card, I ran out of "lace" so, therefore, I placed one of our corduroy buttons. Hey! It works!

At Club meetings lately, we've done the base cards together and then everyone has been doing their own twist on what vintage is to them. Each card is a unique creation! It has been sooo much fun! Why not give it a try!

Book a workshop and ask that we use this set! You'll be amazed at the possibilities...

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Monday!

Make it a creative day!

How about a VINTAGE Look!

While in Phoenix, Shelli Gardner showed a lot of her own style. Vintage! Boy, did that rub off on me. I'm absolutely loving it. I might have gone a little overboard on the sponging part but you don't have to. It's a personal preference. It's all about layering, distressing and embellishing with whatever you have. You can add old and new and just blending the two to make it look old (vintage). I tore the edges of the cardstock and then wet them. From there, I distressed them with my Cutter Kit that is found in the big catalog. I sponged a whole lot! Even my ribbon! I hope you like this card. I sure do. I have to enjoy the picture because I actually gave the card away. lol That's one secret to card-making which I did NOT follow. Make an extra one for yourself! :)

This stamp set is Vintage Vogue and is found in the new Occasions mini! I love it! Check it out. It is offered in our wood mount and NOW in our new clear mount stamps! Don't know anything about them? Ooooohhhhhhhh! Contact me! I will surely fill you in! I'm loving them! State of the art!

Wow what a blast!

This is one evening in Phoenix for Leadership last week. We took a pedicab driven by Zora, on the far left. What a nice gal she was. Just loved her! She gave us a nice ride, a mini tour of the area where we stayed. The three of us, Frances, Dacia and me on the back covered with a blanket that Zora provided because it got chilly at night. She brought us by a well-known pizza place that has been on Martha Stewart and on Oprah but I cannot remember the name of it. She said that people wait three to four hours outside to get in! It was such a beautiful place in a very quiet area. The owner grows the fresh herbs out in front behind a picket fence and cuts them when he needs them! We had sooo much fun!

I cannot wait until next year!

Here is a mounted policeman near a really nice area where we ate a couple of times. The area had Mexican food and Greek food that we ate. It also had a movie theater and lots of stores. I suggested that the policeman and his horse come to Ilion because Phoenix didn't think they were needed in that location. lol

Black Friday...

...hanging out in Wells. It has been raining pretty hard all day here today but yesterday...

...was a great day to walk the beach. It was probably at least 50 degrees! Duffy and Jericho saw the ocean for the very first time. They have been such great travelers. We took frequent breaks for them on the way because the longest trip they've ever done was about 30-45 minutes. We are staying at The Sea Mist Resort Motel on Route 1 where we've stayed many times in the past and now they have a couple of pet-friendly rooms. It is located between Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. Check it out if you're looking for a place to stay in southern Maine.

Rachael and I along with Joanna and Brad went shopping for midnight last night in Kittery to the outlets. We had a lot of fun, caught some deals, and Rachael and I got back after 3:30 this morning. Whew! That's a lot of shopping time.

For tomorrow, we plan to go to Kennebunkport Beach and show Joanna and Brad some of the sites in that area and will eat at Billy's Chowder House.

Joanna and I yesterday on the beach in Wells. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to check out the great deals on the Stampin' Up! website going on NOW! Order through me this week and you'll be in a drawing for free stamps!

Club night this past week...

...made these!!!

They are mini photo albums using 5 x7 pieces of cardstock for the covers. We used Rich Razzleberry for our covers and Soft Suede for the binding. The center, using the Top Note die with the Big Shot is in Bermuda Bay. The stamp sets used are Serene Snowflakes and Delightful Decorations. Both sets can be found in the Holiday Mini catalog.
Two punches were also used. The Ornament punch was used after stamping the image for the ornament and this is found in the mini also. The other punch is the Jumbo Snowflake punch which is found in the big catalog. You can click on the colored links throughout this post or on the catalogs in the left column. For ease of shopping, you can go to my Stampin' Up! website and shop 24/7! It's that easy.
Don'f forget the holidays are coming upon us quickly. Don't forget your teachers, friends and relatives who stamp, scrapbook or who are hard to shop for. You can purchase gift certificates from me OR ask me for a wish list! They can fill it out. I will even gift wrap for you! Shop early!

Also for those of you who do not already know, husbands contact me before the holidays and order! I will gift wrap for them also!
This is going to be a busy week for me! I have a workshop for Jean, Club and the tabletop scrapbook stamp camp on Saturday! Perhaps I'll see YOU at one of these events! If not, lets make a date! Let's get those holiday cards started. :)
