Packing for Convention

I finally got all of my work done and now can concentrate on finishing up on a little stamping and packing for tomorrow. Needless to say, my stampin' room is a mess right now but it IS organized chaos. lol I hae two items left to do for a gift bag swap and I'll be doing that pretty quick.

Erin is bringing the kids over this afternoon so I can get my last fix before leaving. I already miss them. Erin keeps me updated pretty good with pics almost daily and she'll even send me a video of Scout and Pace dancing or playing ring around the rosie once in a while. :)

While away, I'll have my date book with me so that I can set some dates for stamp camps and an Open House so that everyone can get their hands on the new catalog!!! They're will also be an easy make-and-take like I normally do and hostess folders will be available along with free catalogs for anyone booking a workshop.

Convention

Three more days and I leave for Convention!!! I still have things to do. Hmm..... such as typing. Boooo! I wish I could just set that aside and stamp away. I cannot wait to see what we get as attendees. We are getting three stamp sets from the new catalog and remember, all brand new stamps to the catalog are die-cut! This means no trimming and this means all the much sooner we get to put them to use. lol

I'm off to have breakfast with my friend, Mary Jo, this morning. Last night we went to dinner with friends to a place called the Purple Cow. Hmmm..... Hopefully, I'll be able to fit into the clothes I planned to take for Convention. lol The weather forecast for Salt Lake City is sunny and 90's. Oh boy. I think I'll bring my bathing suit, too!

Decor Elements

This is our new Decor Elements. I could not get a good picture of this because of the glare of the glass. If I used a picture from taking it head on, you'd see my reflection in the full glass. Ewwwww!

I love the look of this and really very inexpensive. This is actually two pieces, the wreath and the uppercase letter C. I also have the lower case c. Hmmm...... What can I do with that? Any ideas? Leave a comment to share your thoughts!

This week for Club

These two items are what we did for Club. We had a whole lot of fun and ots of laughs. The hostess, Debbie, decided to make it a wine and cheese evening. Hence, maybe all the giggles?! lol

The ideas were from an awesome site that I have membership to. Both items were done using vellum cardstock. Amazing what you can do with it! For the candle holder, I let everyone loose to embellish their own. You really cannot appreciate the details on the vellum for the candle holder. Ink was sponged on and then you use either a dry wheel or dry stamp to stamp onto the sponged vellum which draws the color off, leaving the image clear.

Pin and 3x3 Card front swap

At Monday evening's workshop, Sarah thought the punched flower would look great as a pin. Thank you Sarah! From the basis of that, I came up with this for a pin and then remembered I have to do a 3x3 card front technique swap so I added faux stitching! Oh yeah, it works! With a whole lot of help from Sandy, I have most pieces punched. I just need to do the faux stitching and assembling now for 55 of these! Believe it or not, I am making headway on my swaps for Convention. lol

Workshop Cards

We did these two cards for Erin's workshop on Monday. With the exception of the Pretty in Pink cardstock and the Berry Bliss Designer Series Paper used on the card on the left, all of the inks and colors are retiring because they are In Colors. I'll definitely miss Purely Pomegranate, the base color for the card on the left.

Thoughts of Jericho

This morning, I had to take Jericho to the vet for surgery. :( He has had several urinary tract infections that have been treated but had the persistent infections. After a thorough workup, we were told he has stones.

At lunchtime today, I got a call from the veterinarian who told me that Jericho did really well, is awake and is fine. He had two very large stones that were actually stuck together which could have caused a lot of irritation in the bladder. He also removed what appeared to be a fatty tumor. I can pick Jericho up tomorrow morning and he will be wearing an "Elizabethan" collar. Oh boy. Now there's one for the scrapbooks. lol Cannot wait to get my schnoodle back home!

A Week in Maine

We're baaaack..... What a wonderful time we had. We had the perfect weather for relaxing, walking, exploring and shopping. Our stay at Strawberry Hill is never long enough. I even took some stampin' to do so I could be that much more prepared for Convention in Salt Lake City at the end of the month. Rachael's friend, Courtney, came with us on this trip. Even though she was away from her own family, I think it was hard for her leave Maine, too. There's always next year. There's always a chance we'll pop up to see Violet and Dana in the fall when we make a trip to Southern Maine.
