See How They've Grown?!

Well, here are the latest pics of Pace and Scout. I cannot believe how much they've grown. He has since had his first and second haircuts. What a handsome little man. :) He is a little cuddler and loves to be held. And Scoutie?! She has become quite the talker and has a wonderful sense of humor. Just thought I'd share. :)

Carousel Note Purse!

Don't ya just love this? It was made using our Carousel Notes from the current mini catalog. To embellish it, I used our Pretties Kit, ribbon and Jumbo Eyelets. The paper on the outside is from Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper from the mini. It can hold lots of cards with envelopes. Interested in attending the stamp camp to make one? There are two dates available to make one along with a couple of cards:

Friday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 17 at 10:00 a.m.

RSVP and prepay of $16 is absolutely necessary no later than Monday, May 5. Class size is limited so contact me early. The fee also includes a package of Carousel Notes (11.95) for each registrant.

This was a card we did at Club on Wednesday night. We had sooo much fun. We used my new tool, the ScorPal, to make the lattice look with the Sage Shadow cardstock. The flowers and stick pin are from our Pretties Kit. The gray around the outside of the Whisper White cardstock is actually my table. lol Kinda throws the card off a little, should have cropped it down a little more.

I'm having so much fun with Club and I think the participants would agree. It is a fun, relaxed group and even I get to play, too!

I cannot wait for them to see what is in store for them NEXT month!

Montezuma Wildlife Refuge

Last Sunday, we finally took a trip to Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. It's a trip I've wanted to make for a few years. Unfortunately, we didn't get there early morning or late afternoon like the site recommends so we saw just a whole lot of different ducks and a whole lot of Canada geese. Don't get me wrong! They were beautiful! I was hoping to see a variety of other birds too like herons. You've heard the expression "ostrich with it's head in the sand?" Is that kinda like the goose above? lol It was really funny because there were actually three geese at one point, all with bottom's up. Too cute! We did see a lot of tree swallows too, swooping around here and there. There is also at least one trail that you could walk but with two 13-year-old girls knowing we'd be going to the nearby Waterloo Outlets after we were done here, there was no way I'd even THINK of broaching the subject of walking a trail. lol It was a wonderful warm spring day and lots of walking was done at the outlets. lol

These are a couple of pics from last night's 6x6 Scrapbook Stamp Camp. The pic on the left is obviously the cover and involved a couple of techniques. We embossed the words and the scallop at the bottom using Pretty in Pink Cardstock was done using the Slit Punch. The piece at the top was what was actually cut from the bottom piece from using the punch.
The second pic is of my favorite layout in the book. The page on the left with the pretty finch on it actually flips open and there is a picture of a Chick-A-Dee and plenty of room for journaling. The page on the left has a mini scrapbook on it. When you untie the black gingham ribbon, it actually folds out.

How about this card! I used Basic Brown ink to stamp the flowers from Embrace Life and the used Sponge Daubers to color the flowers. I curled the petals of the flower using a bone folder, kind of like using curling ribbon. The centers were made punching 1/4" circles into embossed ink using clear embossing powder on Only Orange Craft Ink.

Many of you who have attended events at my house have already seen this but I wanted to post so every could see it. We did this at Leadership in January. It is using a large piece of chipboard, On Board Book Basics, the large size, and covered with some of her Designer Series Paper. It is also embellished using ribbon, stamps and other chipboard. I just have to find a family pic to put on it. Hmmm.... We actually NEED to have a family pic taken. Stay tuned on this one folks....
