Vintage Vogue...

I am sooo loving this new set! You can find it in the Occasions Mini catalog on page 26. I find that my style changes along with my color choices. Right now, I'm liking Mellow Moss again along with the plum colors. For me, that means vintage along with layers and adding sponged color and embellishments. What does it mean to you?

To make the lace that is seen at the top of this card, I took a one-inch wide piece of cardstock and used one of our edge punches. The border on this card was done using a punch you can get for FREE, yes FREE, from the Sale-a-bration mini when you spend just $50 in merchandise! You can actually choose anything from the Sale-a-bration mini catalog for every $50 in merchandise you spend. There is a whole lot to choose from! Okay, back to the lace. hehehe After you punch the entire border, run it through a crimper and then put a line of Sticky Strip adhesive on the back. From there, just apply the "lacy border" to your card and remember to place gathers. You will need to use longer pieces to accommodate those gathers. Take special care in placement because I had a tendency to place my lace going "uphill." lol On this card, I ran out of "lace" so, therefore, I placed one of our corduroy buttons. Hey! It works!

At Club meetings lately, we've done the base cards together and then everyone has been doing their own twist on what vintage is to them. Each card is a unique creation! It has been sooo much fun! Why not give it a try!

Book a workshop and ask that we use this set! You'll be amazed at the possibilities...

How about a VINTAGE Look!

While in Phoenix, Shelli Gardner showed a lot of her own style. Vintage! Boy, did that rub off on me. I'm absolutely loving it. I might have gone a little overboard on the sponging part but you don't have to. It's a personal preference. It's all about layering, distressing and embellishing with whatever you have. You can add old and new and just blending the two to make it look old (vintage). I tore the edges of the cardstock and then wet them. From there, I distressed them with my Cutter Kit that is found in the big catalog. I sponged a whole lot! Even my ribbon! I hope you like this card. I sure do. I have to enjoy the picture because I actually gave the card away. lol That's one secret to card-making which I did NOT follow. Make an extra one for yourself! :)

This stamp set is Vintage Vogue and is found in the new Occasions mini! I love it! Check it out. It is offered in our wood mount and NOW in our new clear mount stamps! Don't know anything about them? Ooooohhhhhhhh! Contact me! I will surely fill you in! I'm loving them! State of the art!

Wow what a blast!

This is one evening in Phoenix for Leadership last week. We took a pedicab driven by Zora, on the far left. What a nice gal she was. Just loved her! She gave us a nice ride, a mini tour of the area where we stayed. The three of us, Frances, Dacia and me on the back covered with a blanket that Zora provided because it got chilly at night. She brought us by a well-known pizza place that has been on Martha Stewart and on Oprah but I cannot remember the name of it. She said that people wait three to four hours outside to get in! It was such a beautiful place in a very quiet area. The owner grows the fresh herbs out in front behind a picket fence and cuts them when he needs them! We had sooo much fun!

I cannot wait until next year!

Here is a mounted policeman near a really nice area where we ate a couple of times. The area had Mexican food and Greek food that we ate. It also had a movie theater and lots of stores. I suggested that the policeman and his horse come to Ilion because Phoenix didn't think they were needed in that location. lol
