It was only a matter of time before we would be blessed with the white stuff. I just wish the fall foliage would last a little longer. Like until April.
The snow is a reminder that Christmas is just around the bend. The Christmas season is my favorite time of year. The decorations. The music. The holiday spirit.
I hope all you stampers were good girls this year and that Santa brings you what you have on your Christmas list. ~ The Stampin' Widower, Ron

Let me tell you.....

..... a little bit about Erin's brother, David. :) David has been in the service since getting out of high school and is now about 34 years old. He is married and has a son, David, who is six. David was serving a term in Egypt when he was called home when his dad was terminally ill with lymphoma and after his passing, David requested to be transferred to Fort Drum wanting to be closer to family. A couple of weeks ago, he arrived in Iraq and is now flying Black Hawk helicopters on what are probably dangerous missions. I will be sending a package to him/fellow soldiers on December 8 so that it arrives in time for Christmas. If you would like to include something, please get it to me before this date with your name and greetings.

(For those of you who might not know, Erin is my wonderful daughter-in-law.)

Please keep David, Sonya and little David in your thoughts and prayers. :)
Thank you.

Thinking........

......of Maine lately. We normally take another trip to Maine in the fall each year but this year we are not. Toooooo much going on. lol This pic was taken last year on Thanksgiving weekend while we were there. We finally got our vehicle back! It was dropped off to us last night while we took the rental vehicle back. Wow! It was over a month! Thought I needed to post because it felt like it had been some time and thought I'd share a moment of Maine. :) Just a hint of why we love it there.

Thanks for stopping by.

Trig

Amazing what phones and two months can do. lol Here is Trig, in his usual state. Unfortunately, Nonny doesn't usually have her camera with her but mommy sends lots and lots of pics of all three kids when she can and even videos although she is only the next town away. You cannot see any of his dimples but rest assured, he has them! He has two dimples low on his cheeks and one in his chin like daddy, grandpa and auntie. lol Yeah, he probably got that from my side but Erin, the rest is your's! He looks just like you!! What a charmer he is, too!

Club!

Some of you have expressed an interest in becoming club members. Club is a great way to keep those creative juices going, learn new techniques, ideas and keep up on specials. If you have already expressed an interest or might be interested in being a Club member, contact me. A great time to start a new club is January when the new catalog is unveiled. Club is not limited to my house. It can be rotated to member's houses. It can be set up as a hostess club or otherwise designated. If you have any questions, let me know. It is a fun time. Ask current club members! I can probably give you references. lol

Happy Stampin' and thanks for stoppin' by!

Just playin'

with the Big Shot and die, making a basket. Kinda cute, huh? This is some old Designer Series Paper that I had that I thought would be fitting. On a rainy day like today, what better to do than stamp right?

Thanks for stoppin' by!

Great Christmas Gift for the little ones!

Already I've sold quite a few of these Stampin' Kids tattoo kits. There are two to choose from, basically a boy's kit and the other a girl's kit. The kit comes with a black ink pad, six acrylic stamps and markers. Oh!! and did I mention that the ink pad AND the markers are washable?!

This first picture is how they come. Cute! A drawstring vinyl bag to keep everything together.

This is what comes in the kit. Oops! It's minus a stamp. lol Didn't make it to the picture.

There's the hand of Rachael. Yes, she even went to polish her nails (black yuck!) before I could take pics. lol At least she participated, huh? She used the orange marker to color the stamp rather than ink it in the black pad.

Here she's coloring in with a marker. They really are fun to play with. They do wash off nicely, more so if you moisturize beforehand. I'm going to get some kits for Scout and Pace when they get a little bit older. Scout does stamp with me when she comes to visit. She even wanted to stamp on Halloween rather than go Trick-or Treating! Casey and Erin are due here soon. They are dropping Pace off for the night. Scout is going to Erin's sister for the night and Trig is going to Erin's mom's for the night. I hope Casey and Erin have an awesome night out just the two of them.

One of the great things...

I love about being a demonstrator is having great resources for ideas. The card with the cattails was actually done using the stamp set, Inspired By Nature. That's a set that we received at Convention this year and one that I've used at Club, stamp camps and workshops since. The set consists of four stamps which are double mounted and it is very versatile. the cattails are done using the Word Window punch!!!! The background was brayered with More Mustard classic ink over Whisper White cardstock and then brayered over with Tangerine Tango. Before brayering with the Tangerine Tango, I punched a circle from a Post-It note and stuck it down where I wanted the sun. You can see where the card opens because there is a sliver of Whisper White peeking out from the side. Thank you and congratulations to Kim Wilson who submitted her card to Stampin' Up! who published her card on Stamper's Showcase. This is where I got the idea for the cattail card.

The other card is my own creation, using scraps that I've had. I have some cards to catch up on and a birthday card to make for a pathologist at work for Tuesday. I'm off to Rochester today with Mary Jo who has to take her son, Matt, for something he is doing. I'm going along for the company. Oh and also probably for a stop at the Olive Garden and the Christmas Tree Shoppe. lol

Casey and Erin brought the kids over on Halloween. I didn't have time to snap pictures because everyone was going in different directions. It was also dark out. lol Scout was dressed up as an adorable bumble bee. Pace was dressed up as a teddy bear but did NOT want to keep the hood on with the adorable ears. Trig was a skunk. Soooooooooo stink' cute!!! A couple of weeks ago, he tipped the scales at the pediatrician's office for a two-month-old, being off the chart for weight and at the 97th percentile for length. The costume he wore for Halloween was black with a furry white stripe going all the way up his back and over the attached hood. It had cute little ears and on his back, in small white lettering was, "little stinker." lol

I won't be home until around 8:00 tonight so my stampin' will be put on hold. I do plan on stampin' some more tomorrow, being that's my day off, but I have to have an MRI of my cervical spine. Thankfully, a lot of my symptoms (aches and pains) are subsiding now from the accident. I still don't have my vehicle back. :(

Happy Stampin' and Stampin' Everyone!
Thanks for stoppin' by :)
